CPC Europe Fund I Exits Aster City Cable
Carson Private Capital Europe Fund I announced the sale of Aster City Cable (Poland) to Mid Europa Partners in a transaction valued at US$490 million.
Carson Private Capital Europe Fund I participated in the US$100 million acquisition of Aster City Cable with Hicks Muse (Europe) in 2003 from Vivendi as part of a pan-regional consolidation strategy in the highly fragmented and underdeveloped cable television markets of Central Europe.
Following acquisition Aster City became the first triple-play operator in Poland with the launch of VOIP (voice over internet protocol telephony), and the third largest cable television company in Poland and is the leading cable operator in Warsaw.
