CPC Fund VI Announces Earthbound Farm Acquisition
Carson Private Capital Fund VI, LP has announced its participation in the 70% controlling interest acquisition of Earthbound Farm by HM Capital Partners in a privately negotiated transaction with the founding family owners of the business valued at $350 million.
Founded in 1984 in Carmel, California, Earthbound Farm is the leading organic packaged salad producer with 70% market share.
This transaction represents the ninth platform investment for CPC Fund VI.
HM Capital has significant experience within the food sector, having acquired over 30 food businesses since 1989, representing over $6 billion of enterprise value, which have generated combined average returns equal to 2.5x and 35% IRR.
